Zarja Jazbinsek was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 1975. During her teens Zaria moved to London and after winning a place at the prestigious Central St. Martins College of Art & Design, successfully completed a degree in Product Design. After gaining recognition to the fashion collections of colleagues, she was urged to take her passion for creative design into the fashion world. Upon graduating she decided to study fashion at the London College of Fashion. It was there when she identified and began extensively exploit her true forte as a fashion designer. Upon completion of her studies, Zaria worked in London for several design houses and in 1998 she joined the creative team of the English designer Paul Smith. In 1999 she launched her own fashion label for women "Alvoi", which has already eceeded all expectations. It is steadily building a strong reputation and global recognition among women in search for glamorous style with a contemporary edge. Zaria is responsible for the design of all product lines from clothing to accessories. She also plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the alvoi name is synonymous with style and that the commitment to innovation is total.
